High pressure rheology of lubricants and traction fluids

Recent work on one of the department's disc machines (which now has new drives and instrumentation [1]) has included a large suite of tests on fluids developed for vehicle CVT's. The data is available for critical comparison with existing and developing constitutive equations for very high pressure high strain rate and temperature conditions characteristic of this sort of contact.
